After a year of organizing, gathering community and employee input, designing and coding, the o2 Group is excited to announce the launch of The City of Golden’s new website, www.cityofgolden.net!
The engaging design and bold colors bring the city’s site to modern times, while still preserving Golden’s ‘old west’ heritage. With targeted sections for Live, Work and Play, an ‘A to Z’ list of City Services and a custom Document Center loaded with useful information, you’ll always be able to find what you are looking for.
The goal of this project was to build an easy to navigate, media-rich website that would become a destination for residents, employees and visitors of Golden. Some new features include rotating photo slideshows and galleries that showcase Golden’s beauty, ‘business cards’ on each page for department heads so you always know who to contact, and an extensive ‘Play’ section designed to encourage visitors to explore all the city has to offer. Another feature to note is how the News section is organized. The user can easily identify whether the news item is related to an event (calendar icon), city news (city logo), recreation (kayak image), or very important (exclamation point). This, along with other new features on the site, is designed to help the user easily navigate through content and find exactly what he or she needs (while enjoying the experience!).
